The legal writing/minithesis is entitled Coordination Amongst RegionaludInstitution to Prevent the Environmental Pollution in Yogyakarta Municipality.udThe background of the research was pollution has been numerously happened inudbig cities of Indonesia, one of them was in Yogyakarta Municipality. The higher ofudinhabitant incline causes the higher economical activity followed by theuddevelopment of which contains the risk elements of pollution and destruction toudenvironment. From the problem background aforementioned above, it was gainedudproblem formulation: 1) How is the coordination amongst regional institution toudprevent the environmental pollution in Yogyakarta Municipality?; 2) What are theudbarriers in coordination amongst regional institutions to prevent environmentudpollution in Yogyakarta Municipality. The purpose of research was to comprehendudthe coordination amongst regional institutions to prevent the environmentaludpollution in Yogyakarta Municipality. The research was normative legal research,udi.e. a research focused on the norms (law in the book) and required secondary dataud(legal source) as primary data. The data source in the research was gained fromudprimary legal sources by shapes of regulations, whereas secondary legal sourceudwas gained from literatures and provide explanation concerning on the primaryudlegal source. From the result of research, it concludes that: 1) the Law Number 32udof 2009 on Protection and Management of Environment actually has ruled on theudtask and authority of Government and Regional Government in coordinating andudconducting the pollution control in Regency/City; 2) Coordination amongstudRegional Institution to prevent pollution in Yogyakarta Municipality can beuddirectly conducted by Environment Institution which refers to the Regulation ofudMunicipal Head Number 100 of 2009 on Coordination Patterns of VerticaludInstitution of Regional Apparatus in Yogyakarta Municipality Government; 3)udCoordination in preventing the environment pollution in Yogyakarta Municipalityudcan give good impact to the society, in particularly in Yogyakarta Municipality, inudorder to create harmonic life between the nature and humans.
