摘要

This study aims at creating a computer-aided teaching medium using Adobe Flash CS3 application on the subject of biogeochemical cycles for tenth-grade students in Semester 2 and determining the quality of the teaching medium based on quality criteria of teaching media so that it can be used in the biology teaching process. This study was Research and Development (R&D) which was conducted in five steps including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). It was conducted on March - July 2010 at UNY and SMA Negeri 1 Pleret, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Reviewers participating in this research included one media expert, one material expert, two teachers, and 20 students of SMA of Grade XI. Instruments of data collection were questionnaire sheets with the measurement scale in the form of Likert scale. Data analysis technique used was the descriptive-qualitative analysis. The analysis was in the form of the description of responses or suggestions for the qualitative data and the highest percentage acquisitions for the quantitative data. Research results were prototypes of computer-aided teaching media on the subject of biogeochemical cycles for tenth-grade students at semester 2. From the results of assessment questionnaire sheets, this teaching medium had fulfilled good quality category of teaching media so that it could be used as a good teaching material in the biology teaching process.
