This test is aimed to determine the effectiveness of the preservative early effect on using of tobacco extracts and urea concentration and varying immersion time on the durability of the wood from the visual side of the specimen-weight-loss.udThis final project is an experiment testing on the Sengon which is soaked in preservatives with varying concentrations. the preservative that is used is extract tobacco leaf and urea which concentration preservative A tobacco extract 50% urea 5%, preservatives B tobacco extract 75% urea 10%, and preservatives C tobacco extract 100% urea 15%. The specimens pecifications are sengon with dimensions 5cm x 7cm x 15cm, for specimen A is immersed in a preservative as many as 15 pieces, sengon B specimen is immersed in a preservative as many as 15 pieces B, C sengon specimens immersed in preservative C as many as 15 pieces, and specimens D, that is used as controls in this test, as many as 5 pieces. udThis test analysis using quantitative descriptive analysis method.The results of the tests in the termite nest for 32 days shows:(1) Effect of the use of tobacco extracts preservatives and urea on the durability of timber A, B, C is effective when compared with the test specimen D (control) in terms of the testing object visualization.(2) Effect of the use of tobacco extracts and preservatives urea can be seen from the specimens weight-loss after the test, namely A specimen of 4,087 gr, B specimen of 3,279 gr, C specimen of 2,262 gr, and D specimens of 22,234 gr. From these data, the effect of each specimens in terms of weight-loss in the test can be sorted from the most effective, the first is 100% tobacco extract and urea 15%, second is tobacco extract preservative 75% and urea 10%, then the tobacco extract preservative 5% and 5% urea.ud
