摘要

This study was designed to diagnose students’ mastery level and difficulties in udessential concepts of mathematics, and also reveal the difficulties of the teachers in udteaching these concepts in the implementation of Curriculum 2013. The approach udused to diagnose this case was the Socratic approach, the approach adopted from udhow Socrates taught his students. The materials diagnozed include the materials of udthe first semester of class X of science. T he research subjects consisted of 321 udstudents and 33 high school teachers. The results showed that the students’ mastery udof essential math concepts are still at the low level, there are still many difficulties udencountered by students and teachers
