摘要

This study aims at determining the teaching effects of the application of Science Skill Builder approach towards students’ ability in interpreting graphics in science (physics) instruction. In this study, the researcher compared two approaches which were an instruction using Science Skill Builder approach and one using Conventional approach (informative). The sampling was done by using random sampling technique by involving two of five classes randomly in SMP N 3 Kebumen. The research method was experimental study and the data were analyzed by using Mann-Whitney U. The research results showed that there were significant effects in the teaching using Science Skill Builder approach towards students’ ability in interpreting graphics in the science (physics) instruction.
