AVMf: An Open-Source Framework and Implementation of the Alternating Variable Method

The Alternating Variable Method (AVM) has been shown toudbe a fast and effective local search technique for search-based softwareudengineering. Recent improvements to the AVM have generalized the representationsudit can optimize and have provably reduced its running time.udHowever, until now, there has been no general, publicly-available implementationudof the AVM incorporating all of these developments. We introduceudAVMf, an object-oriented Java framework that provides such anudimplementation. AVMf is available from http://avmframework.org forudconfiguration and use in a wide variety of projects.
