Joint source-channel iterative receivers using LDPC codes

Using an asymptotic analysis, the optimization of a receiver using joint source-channel decoding involving LDPC codesudis performed for the following iterative systems:ud(a) optimized joint source-channel receiver,ud(b) backward compatible iterative receiver,ud(c) optimal tandem receiver assuming a perfect source compression,ud(d) classical tandem receiver.udOptimization and simulation results are provided for different code rates and codeword lengths.
