Digitization of convex documents : simulation of the setting flat by shape from shading

We describe a novel method for the fast digitization of a skew document (e.g., a page of an open book), from oneudimage taken by a camera. Our method carries out the setting flat of the document thanks to a realistic formulation ofudthe problem in terms of shape from shading, involving perspective projection. Results are shown on real images.
