摘要

A method is described for the spectrophotometric determination of traceamounts of copper. 2-methyloxine reacts with copper to from very stable yellowcomplex which is easi1y extracted into molten naphthalene and the resultingmixture of copper complex and naphthalene is dissolved in dimethylformamide.The absorbance of the solution is measured at 400 nm to determine theamounts of copper. The effects of pH,amount of 2-methyloxine,naphthaleneand diverse salts are given.
