On the Location of Series Capacitors in Series -Compensated Power Systems

摘要

In this paper，the location of ser1es capacitors in power transmissionsystems,It is investigated. Under no-load condition in powersystems，it is proved that the ser1es capacitors shoud be located onthe side ofthe sending end. On the other hand，this paper points outthat in contrast with positive Ferranti phenomena has been known asFerranti effect since ear1y period negative Ferranti phenomena whichcauses voltage drop at the receiving end under no-load and excessiveoompensation conditions exists，and a1so desoribes on the merits anddemerits.
