2-(Substituted amino)-4-amino-1,3,5-triazines(R= methyl,ethyl,and propyl),2,4-bis(substituted amino)-1,3,5-triazines(R= methyl,ethyl, propyl, benzyl, and phenyl),and2,4-bis(disubstituted amino)-1,3,5-triazines(R=methyl,and ethyl) were obtained by oxidation of the respective2,4-(substituted diamino)-6-hydrazino-l,3,5-triazines withoxygen(air),potassium peroxodisu1fate,or hydrogen peroxideas the oxidizing agents,in the presence of sodiumhydroxide. When sodium deuteroxide and deuterated solventswere used at the air oxidation,the hydrazino-group wasreplaced by deuterium. And,at the air oxidation,thecompound of azotriazine type was iso1ated as the oxidationby-product. Onthe basis of both resu1ts,the reactionmechanism was discussed.
