摘要

High school teachers hope that their students will find pleasure in learning mathematics. They expect mathematical cooperative education to encourage inquisitiveness and inquiring minds among students who are uninterested in mathematical intellectual pursuits. On the other hand, as globalization gathers speed for the international economy of the 21st century, it is of great necessity to continuously develop global human resources who possess communication skills, intercultural experiences, and mathematical ways of thinking. There is a compelling need for high schools and universities to develop and train global talent for the government and companies. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to clarify the capabilities and conditions of global human resources and to propose how to develop such talents in both Japanese high schools and Japanese universities. The key factor for the success of human global development in Japan would not be English, but a deep knowledge about mathematical ways of thinking, adaptability, flexibility, and others. Finally, compounding new experiences is effective to be able to think about things in a wide range of fields.While not limiting it to overseas exchanges, we hope students will break out of their comfort zones and endeavor to expand their range of activities.
