Introducción: La “Echinacea angustifolia”, es uno de los medicamentos herbolarios más representativos y utilizado en todo el mundo. Se han realizado diferentes estudios para valorar su respuesta frente al sistema inmune, observándose que actúa sobre la mayoría de células inmunitarias, provocando una modulación en su respuesta. Estos estudios se han realizado con “Echinacea” como medicamento fitoterapeutico, no se han realizado estudios en su presentación homeopática. El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar la respuesta de el sistema inmune frente a la “Echinacea” homeopatizada. Materiales y Métodos: La cuantificación de los niveles de las citoquinas IL1b ,udIL 6, IL 8, IL 10, FNT, se determinaron sobre células mononucleares en sangre periférica humana tratadas con “Echinacea angustifolia” homeopátizada a laudpotencia 30 CH, mediante el ensayo “Cytokine Human Panel” Invitrogen en el equipo Luminex 200.udResultados: Con respecto a la viabilidad celular se encontró una proliferación de las células mononucleares de hasta un 40 % mas en comparación que el control, esto demostró que si hay efectos mitogénicos de la “Echinacea”udhomeopatizada sobre las células mononucleares, lo que puede concluir que si hay una modulación positiva a nivel del sistema inmune comparables con su la presentación fitoterapeutica. Los resultados del análisis de citoquinas IL1b.IL 6, IL 8, IL 10, FNT, medidos en el equipo de Luminex, demostró que los mecanismos inmonomoduladores de la “Echinacea” homeopatizada posiblemente no están asociadas a estas citoquinas o que su estimulación seudde a otras potencias. Conclusiones: Los resultados del estudio mostraron un efecto mitogénico a nivel de las células mononucleares expuestas a la “Echinacea angustifolia” homeopatizada, este estudio, deja la puerta abierta, para la realización de nuevos proyectos. / Abstract. Introduction: "Echinacea angustifolia" is one of the most representative and herbal medicines used around the world. There have been several studies to assess their response to the immune system, noting that most acts on immune cells, causing a modulation in the response.
