Recursive mode matching method for multiple waveguide junction modeling

The mode matching method is applied to different waveguide geometries, and a recursive scheme is denned to use the appropriate number of modes in each section of the waveguide. Numerical simulations for different types of applications are given and show very good results. © 1996 IEEE.
