The sociological concept behind the works of Roman Schulz pictures the work from the perspective of the social activity of the man, being held in specific, determining the work, socio-historical conditions, staying in interactions with: for the author, with other authors, for the work, with other creative products. The author is singling out four categories of behavior of the man, within which the work is taking place: autonomous culture-creating activity, modern human work, innovative social behavior, auto-creation. The fields of creative activity of the man constitute the canvas for the sociological model of the work, while the dimensions of the work are warp. The author is accepting universally recognized dimensions of the work, i.e. the work entity, creative product, creative process, work conditions. Putting together these two elements: the fields and dimensions of the work enables to see the multitude and diversity of the innovative activities of the man. The model of the works of Roman Schulz was analyzed in the context of the teaching work of the university teacher, and gaps, shortcomings and needs of support were shown.
