摘要

It has well been known long since that the breating capacity and the fuel supplied state of the internal combustion engines are largely governed by an intake pipe system. Based on knowledge that the air flow in the intake pipe can be considered to be one-dimensional,compressive and unsteady,and that the equations of continuty,motion and energy can be solved on the intake pipe system,and of the equilibrium conditions of mass and energy flows in the crankcase etc., attempts were made to do numerical analysis by the methods of successive numerical analysis characteristic curve. Although these trials give results,improved in the degree of approximations are too intricate to be suitable for seeing a general prospect. Since the pressure wave in the intake pipe of a real engine changes complicatedly according to the intake pipe system and the operating condition,however,it is difficult to forecast,based on the caburetor’s fundamental characteristics,the fuel amount feed at each running state
