摘要

Second language teaching evolved a lot since its beginnings in the 80's. After being a mere experimentation, today this teaching exists full-fledged. In the current programs - effective since 2007 - one of the main goal insists on the learning of the foreign sounds. These current programs point out the priority which has to be given to the phonological skill, and the constant preoccupation that it must be for classroom teachers right from the beginning of the second language learning. The phonological skill cannot be ignored in order to understand and to be understood. Nowadays, second language teaching must be delivered by primary teachers. Nonetheless, the situation has sometimes proved difficult for classroom teachers since many of them do not have the necessary pedagogic and linguistic knowledge to teach the foreign language effectively. As a consequence, the phonological skill is little studied. This research aims at understanding in what extent the phonological skill favors communication for children in primary education as far as English learning is concerned.
