The problem of Community care system judging from the medical examination and treatment actual situation of Home Care Supporting Clinics in Niigata

This article is a research study on the actual conditions of medical service at Home Care Supporting Clinics in Niigata Prefecture. Though HCSC are expected to play a central role in supporting home care, they are unevenly distributed not only nationally but also in the prefecture. In the current situation, it is difficult to depend only on HCSC.Therefore, it is urgent to construct cooperation with not-HCSC clinics, hospitals and others. We conducted a survey to comprehend the actual conditions of medical service of HCSC for clarifying how to plan such cooperation. According to the result, HCSC have been engaged in home care actively so far, but the numbers of their HCSC patients are most frequently zero, so they do not function as HCSC sufficiently. As a conclusion, in the cities where HSCS concentrate, the promotion of the cooperation with not-HSCS clinics, hospitals and others is necessary, but in the counties where there are few HCSC, they need to construct home care supporting system using medical resources which already exist in the area.
