摘要

"Kose(i Science of Art and Design)" is, as basicstudy of modeling general, positioned a field dealingwith basic, common content for all modelingexpression. The core of its exploration is theoperational ways of using color, shape and material,i.e. "basic modeling elements". Through these actions,digging into modeling possibilities that are inherentto them manifest as "expression knowledge", thisresearch can be said that it is directing develop ofnew modeling possibilities and their development."Kosei" in teacher training education is positionedas a field that constitutes the art department, andin specific practice, it is required to be deployedin a manner which includes "design". There theexploration of pure "expression knowledge", theoriginal essence of "Kosei", is required. At thesame time it should be taken into account that therealization of the "design process" which developsthat expression knowledge and changes them intoconcrete representation. As the background to takethis way of thinking, an expression based on themethodology of the "Kosei" is placed as a series ofa "problem discovery and problem-solving process"from the initial modeling idea to the final concreterepresentation. In other words, not only focusingon making "work" as the final result of modelingrepresentation in one subject of education, but byemphasizing the attitude of finding and utilizing"expression knowledge" as we challenge and fosterstudentsu27 "design capacities" in their daily life.It is worth expecting the acquired "expressionknowledge" throughout this process can beeffectively used as an extremely important resourcefor material/element research in courses in Arts,Design and Craft.To focus on the above, as case studies involvingthe methodology of "Kosei" in undergraduate"graduate" and postgraduate courses "designresearch", I report on the teaching practices andresults picking up on a particular subject thatfocuses on the characteristics of "light" as a modeling material/element.
