The superplasticity of an electrodeposited nanocrystalline Ni–Co alloy with an average grain size of 20 nm was investigated. A maximum elongation of 279% was obtained at a temperature of 773 K and a strain rate of 5 × 10−3 s−1, and a significant amount of twinning and dislocation was observed in the deformed specimens. The relatively low superplasticity of the alloy is discussed in terms of its grain growth and accommodation mechanisms.
