A study of the CABSES vertical plane motions using the6-D.O.F. Program for the XR-3 craft was performed with variousvalues of air flow rates in order to observe the sensitivityof the craft heave, c, g. acceleration and plenum pressureto variations in air flow rate. The frequency response dueto regular and complex seas as well as the transient responsedue to a weight removal were used to observe the effect ofchanges in air flow rate. A linear heave-only model is shownto provide useful information concerning the effect of airflow rate on the high frequency characteristics of the XR-3craft.
