摘要

This thesis is concerned with the steady state response to a stepinput of a non-linear s ervomechani sm having viscous friction and a loadposition unity feedback loop. A gear train with "backlash between resilientgear teeth was located between the motor and load.The physical equations describing the system are presented andadapted to a form for the Control Data Corporation l60^- digital computer.The computer program used in this analysis is presented alongwith its flow diagram and description of its operation.The results of this thesis are presented in several forms usingthe parameters of system damping coefficient, distribution of frictionand inertia, backlash angle and coefficient of restitution. The resultsare applied to sample problems in illustration of their use fordesign and analysis.The authors wish to express their appreciation to Dr. George J.Thaler of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and to Dr. WilliamWainwright and Mr. Edward N.
