摘要

The current synergy of Component-Based Software Engineering(CBSE) and Software Product Line Engineering(SPLE) requires evolution to facilitate Distributed Realtimeand Embedded (DRE) system construction. Such evolutionis driven by inherent Quality of Service (QoS) characteristicsin DRE systems. This paper introduces a QoSdrivenSPLE framework (QoSPL) as an analysis and designparadigm for constructing a set of DRE systems as aproduct line. Leveraging separation of concerns, DRE systemsare analyzed and designed by a collection of QoSsystemic paths, each of which individually determines howwell the service performs along the path and as a wholerepresents a behavioral view of software architecture. Theparadigm reduces construction workload from the problemsof tangled functional and QoS requirements andabundant infeasible design alternatives, and offers a lesssubjective QoS evaluation. The adopted formalisms alsofacilitate high-confidence DRE product line construction.
