Intensive Medicine is an area where big amountsof data are generated every day. The process to obtainknowledge from these data is extremely difficult andsometimes dangerous. The main obstacles of this process arethe number of data collected manually and the quality of thedata collected automatically. Information quality is a majorconstrain to the success of Intelligent Decision SupportSystems (IDSS). This is the case of INTCare an IDSS whichoperates in real-time. Data quality needs to be ensured in acontinuous way. The quality must be assured essentially inthe data acquisition process and in the evaluation of theresults obtained from data mining models. To automate thisprocess a set of intelligent agents have been developed toperform a set of data quality tasks. This paper explores thedata quality issues in IDSS and presents an intelligentapproach for monitoring the data quality in INTCare system.
