Strengthening a prestressed concrete slab by epoxy-bonded FRP composites and SFRC overlayer

Laminates of carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP), layer of steel fibre reinforcedconcrete (SFRC) and the simultaneous use of CFRP laminates and SFRC overlayerwere the strengthening strategies analysed for increasing the load bearing capacity of aconcrete slab. A numerical model developed for simulating these strengtheningtechniques is described and the results obtained are analysed.
