摘要

Antifungal activity of aqueous extract of leaves ofudMillingtonia hortensis Linn when tested against eight fungaludspecies of maize at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50% concentrationudshowed maximum activity against A.flavus at 50%udconcentration followed by F.oxysporum (90.2%), F.solaniud(89.5%), F.moniliforme (87.7%), A.candidus (78.9%),udA.niger (78.0%), A.flavipes (73.2%) and F.graminearumud(52.1%) at 50% concentration tested. Moderate activity wasudalso observed in 20, 30 and 40% concentration and leastudactivity was observed in 10% concentration tested. Comparedudto synthetic fungicide bavistin and thiram, both the fungicide recorded 100% inhibition.
