AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) is one of diseases that has the highest number of sufferers in the world. It becomes a global problem. In Indonesia, the highest AIDS cases invention is in the productive age group which is about 20-29 years. The research purpose was to analyze the effect of health education of HIV-AIDS with the comic book on the level of knowledge, attitude, and acceptance of prevention HIV-AIDS for stundents in Senior High School Surakarta. This research used Quasi Experimental with pretest-posttest design with control group. The population in this study were X and XI grade in senior high school as many as 1710 students. The sampling method used Simple Random Sampling. The population were divided into three groups,which were the experimental group, the control group, acceptance group which the total were 117 samples. Statistical test used Paired sample t-test which showed there was no difference in the average score of knowledge (p = 0.000) and attitude (p = 0.002) in the experimental group after treatment and there is no difference in the average score of knowledge (p = 0.000) and attitude (p = 0.000) in the control group. Independent t-test resulted there was no difference of knowledge as the effect of health education on HIV-AIDS between using comic book media and speech method on knowledge (p = 0.586) and theres is difference in the effect of health education on HIV-AIDS between using comic book and speech method attitude (p = 0.000) adolescents in the prevention of HIV-AIDS. For teens acceptance of the storybook, almost respondents particularly like the comic book as many as 22 respondents (59,4%). ududKey words: health education, knowledge, attitude, power of acceptance.
