This study aims to determine the role of the prosecutor and the enabling factors andudobstacles in addressing corruption as a criminal offense as well as the specialudprosecutor's efforts to maximize its performance. The method used is empiricaludjuridical with descriptive research. The data source consists of primary data, facts andudinformation, while the secondary data includes data of primary law, secondary andudtertiary. Data were collected by literature study and interviews were analyzed usingudqualitative methods. The results show the role of prosecutors in dealing withudcorruption which performs functions of technical preparation of policy formulation inudthe field of special criminal offense. Supporting factor is the enthusiasm of theudcommunity by providing important information that is required, while the inhibitingudfactor that is not its own Audit Expert Team, so had to ask an expert or auditor ofudother agencies that resulted in the handling process is not fast with a limited numberudof prosecutors. The effort to maximize the performance of the prosecution is based onudthe Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on Governance Administration and CaseudManagement Technical Special Crimes defined by Regulation No. Attorney General:udPerja-39/A/JA/10/2010.
