TOEFL examines someone’s ability in mastering English; the abilities are listening comprehension, structure and written expression, reading comprehension and writing. The test evaluates the potential success of an individual to use and understand standard American English at college or university level. English Department as a major at Islamic Education Faculty also requires undergraduate to take TOEFL-Alike for fulfilment and give certain standard score of requirement to obtain the degree of Islamic Education Faculty. Then sixth semester students who have taken Grammar 1, Grammar 2, Grammar 3, and Grammar 4 are expected to be ready to face the test.udThis research is supposed to know the sixth semester students’ mastery in structure section of TOEFL at the English Department of IAIN Antasari Academic Year 2013/2014 and to know what is the most common problem faced by the sixth semester students in structure section of TOEFL.udThe subjects in this research are 111 sixth semester students in the English Department of IAIN Antasari in academic year 2013/2014. The objects of this research are the mastery of sixth semester students in structure section of TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) at the English Department of IAIN Antasari Academic Year 2013/2014 and the most common problem faced by the students in structure section of TOEFL.udThe data collection used: written test and documentary. Data processing in this research is divided into five stages, they are editing, coding, scoring, tabulating and interpreting. Then all data are analyzed by descriptive quantitative and concluded inductively.udAll the data shows that the mastery of sixth semester students in structure section of TOEFL-Alike (Test of English as a Foreign Language) at the English Department of IAIN Antasari Academic Year 2013/2014 is classified in the good category with the mean score 53,64 and the most students’ common problem is form and function.
