Pd.udKeywords: Teaching, Technique, Vocabulary.udThe problem formulation in this research are: What the teaching techniques used by teacher in teaching vocabulary on English subjectat the ninth year students at MTs 1 Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin academic Year 2014/2015 are, and What factors that influence the teachers in teaching and learning of vocabulary on English subject at the ninth year students at MTs 1 Muhammadiyah Banjarmasinacademic Year 2014/2015.udThe subject in this research is English teacher at the ninth year students at MTs 1 Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin. The objects in this research are teaching techniques of vocabulary and the factors influencing the teacher at the ninth year students atMTs 1 Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin.udFor collecting the data, the writer uses observation, interview, field notes and documentary. Processing the data in this research is divided into three phases: drafting, editing and summarizing. All the data are analyzed qualitatively, and concluded inductively.udThe result of this research states that the teaching techniques used by teacher in teaching vocabulary on English subject are translation of literary passage as primary techniques and other techniques in teaching vocabulary are fill in the blank, memorization, and guess the meaning and the factors that influence the teachers in teaching and learning of vocabulary on English subject are teacher’s background, students motivation and medias and literatures.
