Tale of Water of youth in folklore of the Japanese and Altaic peoples

摘要

According to the comparative studies of Japanese mythology it has been appointed that there are some paralleles in Japanese mythology with that of the Greek. Based on this presumption the author seeks for the common features in the myth/tales of the Altaic peoples, namely the Turkic and Mongolic, who could be the mediators between the West and the East.
