1. Forms of individual constituents in the Japanese gardens affect the feeling of people. This means that functions are qroduced from the forms and not the reverse. 2. Form itself brings about function, such as a dimension of gardens, feeling of movement, harmony and connection with individual constituents of the garden. 3. Borrowed scenery in th garden, one of the techniques in the Japanese gardens, is adopted as a form of harmony and connection with a background of the garden and also stepping stones are laid on a walk as the ornamentation or to connect each constituent of the garden depending on the way of arranging. 4. Planting trees or arranging stones on the vertex of a scalene triangle is the form of design to produce harmony and to have connections with surrounding environment.
