摘要

The respiration responses of citrus fruits (Satsuma orange, Hassaku orange and sweet summer orange) to alternate treatments with air and ethylene were studied. When the treatments with ethylene for 1 day and then returned to air for 1 day were repeated, the initial 3 to 4 treatments induced response of citruits (increase in CO_2 evolution), but subsequent treatments had little effect. The retreatments with ethylene for 3 days and then returned to air for 1 day caused no increase of respiration rate. In the case of the retreatments with ethylene for 2 days and then returned to air for 1 day, the initial 2 treatments induced response, but subsequent ones had no effect. When the treatments with ethylene for several days and then returned to air for more than 2 days were repeated, the fruits responded at all times.
