No funds have been allocated for the opening of new units ofudaccommodation in this health board area in the current year, nor,udindeed, were any such funds made available in the last financialudyear despite the fact that comprehensive submissions supported byudestimates of costs both pay and non-pay, have been renewed to theudDepartment of Health. In this latter regard, it is particularlyudsignificant that funding be made available for the opening of theudnew facilities at the Maternity Department at Gal way RegionaludHospital which should be completed before the end of thisudfinancial year.
