Report on progress in implementing recommendations arising from the report of the HIQA investigation into the provision of services to Ms A by the Health Service Executive at University Hospital Galway in relation to her symptomatic breast disease, and the provision of pathology and symptomatic breast disease services by the Executive at the hospital

This report sets progress which has budeen made by the HSE in relation toudrecommendations proposed by HIQA arisingudfrom an investigation into the provisionudof services to Ms A by the Health ServiceudExecutive at University Hospital Galway inudrelation to her symptomatic breast diseudase, and the provision of Pathology andudSymptomatic Breast Disease Services by theudExecutive at the Hospital. Significantudlocal and national progress has been madeudin relation to these recommendations andudnecessary arrangements are largely in plaudce. A key outstanding action is with regardudto SLAs for clinical serviudces exchanged between the HSE and private sector. Thisudmatter will be brought to completion byudthe National Director for Commercial andudSupport Services.
