摘要

The aims of this experiment were to examine whether the additional of single cell protein from MSG production to artificial diet give an effect toward voluntary feed intake, feed conversion ratio, protein efficiency ratio, spesific growth rate, absolute growth rate, net protein utilization and survival rate of tilapia\u27s juvenil cultured in saline water.. This experiment used experimental method which is done with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replicates, i.e. A (0% SCP), B (5% SCP), C(10% SCP) and D (15% SCP). The measured variables are voluntary feed intake (VFI), feed conversion ratio (FCR), protein efficiency ratio (PER), absolute growth rate (W), spesific growth rate (SGR), net protein utilization (NPU), survival rate (SR) and water quality. This expriment was carried out in BBPBAP Jepara on April – June 2012. The results showed that the treatments decreased the values of SGR and W significantly (P<0,05), also decreased VFI and PER values very significantly (P<0,01), but did not affect on FCR and SR values (P>0,05). Based on the results, it can be concluded that supplementations of SCP from MSG production have resulted in decreasing VFI, PER, W, and SGR of tilapia reared in 15 ppt salinity water.
