This research\u27s purpose is to write down the knowledge of social value of a symbol in Jepin Gerangkang dance bonding pattern in batu layang, Pontianak city, west borneo. This research used descriptive method with qualitative form as its research method. The approach which is used is etnochoreology. The source of data is gerangkang jepin dance from batu layang in pontianak city. This research\u27s data consists of result of interview, pictures, and gerangkang jepin dance\u27s video which is appropriate according to the problems of this research. This research results a knowledge of social value of gerangkang jepin dance which is contained in bonding pattern symbol. For example 1) human with human social value have their responsibility sense, teamwork, unity, and togetherness. 2) human\u27s social value with natural environtment such as love and responsibility of nature. The movement structure jepin gerangkang dance divided into three phases : beginning movement, middle movement, and final movement.
