The objective of the study is to provide an input for management so that the refinement of core business platform in BNZ can result in capability to optimally utilize all resources to increase sales and lower costs significantly. Management tools and concepts used in the study include revenue pool analysis of Indonesian banking industry, GE traffic light matrix, and value chain analysis. The analyses performed highlight sixteen business units that are feasible; and deserve Bank BNI top management attention and resource allocation. The sixteen Business Units can be classified into four major categories (Strategic Business Unit): corporate lending business private sector) as well as corporate funding; Consumer Banking (credit card, mortgage, savings, time deposit, and private banking.); Commercial (small business, middle market, checking & cash management); and Investment & international (insurance, foreign exchange, trade Financing, etc.). The most important activity in the refinement process is the implementation strategy that is gradually according to BNZ's current condition (management capacity, resources constraints, etc.)
