摘要

Ship emissions are one of the major contributors to global air pollution, especially in coastal areas [1]. An assessment published in 2010 [2] found that over 70% of ship emissions have been detected up to 400 km inland and significantly contribute to air pollution in the vicinity of harbours. Ship emissions also caused an increase in the concentrations of both particulate matter and gaseous pollutants and the formation of new particles in densely populated regions [3]. Moreover, shipping activities significantly contribute to ocean acidification. Quantitative and qualitative estimation of pollutant emissions from ships and their dispersion are thus becoming more important
