摘要

The issue of particle emissions from diesel engines isudstill a matter of concern due its deleterious effects bothudon human health and environment(Ristovski et al.,ud2012). Recently, International Agency for Research onudCancer (IARC) inclusion of diesel engine exhaustudparticles as carcinogenic to human health added a newudmargin on it. Apart from the use of after treatmentudtechnology, biodiesel is also considered as potential wayudto reduce particle emission alongside with otherudemissions(Xue, Grift, & Hansen, 2011). Global biodieseludproduction is still reasonably small compared to itsudcounterpart fossil diesel, but even this small amountudcomes from a wide variety of feed stocks. Contrary toudfossil diesel, the important physicochemical properties ofudbiodiesel vary among different feed stocks(Hoekman,udBroch, Robbins, Ceniceros, & Natarajan, 2012).
