ABSTRACTudThe purpose of this study was to established and obtained the optimal concentration of udethanol solvent to extract pigment from coconut husk as a natural dye using maceration udextraction method, water content, tannin content, yield and value of Rf resulting from udusing simple linear regression model.udThe design used in this study to analyze the data from the experiment is a method udof simple linear regression with the independent variable (x) concentration of ethanol ud90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, and 40% with the extraction maceration at room udtemperature for 24 clock. The dependent variable (y) consists of a water content, tannin udcontent, yield and value of Rf extract pigment from coconut husk.udBased on the results of study variations in the concentration of ethanol is 90%, ud80%, 70%, 60%, 50% and 40% is used as a solvent in the extraction process of udmaceration for 24 hours at extract pigment from coconut husk shows a correlation udbetween the concentration of ethanol on water content , tannin content, and yield. The udtest results retardation factor (Rudfud) of coconut husk extract by thin layer chromatography ud(TLC) is by calculating the retardation factor (Rfud) shows the color pigments extracted udusing different concentrations of ethanol, Rudfudvalues ranged from 0.761 to 0.771. which udshows the compound with Rudf udvalues are is a tannin with a standard value of Rfudtannin is ud0.737.
