摘要

The purpose of this thesis entitled “ Photogaphy Essay on AmarasiudTraditionalWovenFabricPatterns fromEastNusaTenggara”,istolearnaboutudAmarasiwovenfabric,andtomaximizetheusingofphytographyessayasaudmeans to introduce woven fabric patterns of Amarasi.The method of theudresearch is descriptive by qualitative research paradigm. Data collecting isuddonebyfieldobservation,interviewingexpertsandusingthe researchsubjectuditself.udThe result of the research shows that there are some patterns thatudshould be known by people are King and Garuda Bird Patterns. Coloringudprocessofthethreadsisusingnaturalcolors,suchasleavesortreeroots.Inudthe writer’s point of view, Amarasi patterns are very interesting; throughudphotography,thewriterasaphotographerpresentsthisinanessay.udBasedontheresultoftheresearch,itisconcludedthatAmarasi wovenudpattern can be an identity that symbolizes Indonesia. The local governmentuddoesnotgiveenoughattentiontowovenfabric,itmakesweavergroupsareuddifficulttogrow.Asaresulttheyfinditdifficult toshowtheirexistenceandudpotentialsinthecommunity.Intheprocessofthework,photographycreatesudphotoswhichtKeywords:photography,essay,wovenfabrichephotographer’spointofviewinvolved.
