摘要

Jointly funded by the EPSRC and NSFC through a large-scale cross consortium project EP/L001063/1 on smart grid and electric vehicles, this collaborative work has developed a novel and experimentally validated real-time method for simultaneous estimation of battery internal temperature and state-of-charge (SOC), an important yet technically challenging issue for safe and reliable operation of batteries in electric vehicles. The work has subsequently attracted funding from Wrightbus for both PhD and Postdoctoral researches to support battery investigation for their micro-hybrid buses. The results were also included in three keynote speeches in two international conferences in China and one workshop in UK.
