The article shows the decisive paper of the word in an audio-visual formatespecially: the television news program. It reveals up to what point the centralplace that occupies is directly related to the aspiration of verisimilitude that itcharacterizes to any journalistic text. Finally, with the present text a hypothesis parts:it is this predominance of the word the one that distinguishes it from the rest ofaudio-visual possible speeches.
