Note sur la systématique et la répartition des Amphibiens Anoures de Chine et des régions avoisinantes. II. Rana blanfordii, Boulenger, 1882, Rana polunini Smith, 1951 et Rana yadongensis Wu, 1977

On the basis of an analysis of the original description of Rana yadongensis Wu, 1977, it is suggested that the type-series of this species is probably heterogeneous : the specimens collected at Yadong, Xizang, are likely to belong to Rana (Pa a) blanfordii Boulenger, 1882, and those collected at Nyanang, Xizang, to Rana (Paa) polunini Smith, 1951. The holotype of Rana yadongensis being from Yadong, this species should be transferred into the synonymy of Rana blanfordii.
