Schmidt's «precocious» narratives (the only ones translated into French) are more than novelties: their exceptional power stems from an internal energy that transports, in an instant, library, knowledge, bodies and objects. To reconstruct the immediacy of sense-data, the author creates his own personal language, making each work an autonomous, humorous whirlwind.
