In the heart of the southern Alps, in the mid-mountain zone of the low demographic density, the city of Digne-les-Bains is a space still isolated in and badly linked to main highways and rails lines that connect economic centers in the south of France. The contruction of new projects transportation infrastructures, which respect the environment is considered to satisfy the needs of the city for a sustainable development.
