Les utilisations du palmier ' Moriche ' (Mauritia flexuosa L. f.) chez les Warao du delta de L'Orénoque territoire delta Amacuro, Venezuela

A description of the various uses of the moriche palm, Mauritia flexuosa L. f., Palmaceae, Lepidocaryeae, by the Warao indians of the Orenoque delta which obtain from this plant food (a kind of sago starch, fruits, sap...), fibers, building material... Some aspects of the rituals associated with the gathering of the moriehe-palm starch are also described.
