Abstract. — Some significative characteristics of alpine contribute to find the extent of mountainous influences ; but, these are strongly changed in some river basins since the beginning of the hydroelectric management in the Alps. These changes are noted in evaluation of the area of river basins, in the annual discharges and in seasonal rhythm. In the Northern alps, the hydrology is very often dependent on the energetic policy than on the natural parameters.
