The Bishops of « Dreieckland » - Fribourg in brisgau, Strasbourg, Bâle - regularly meet each other. Owing to the questions raised about human life, they decided to address to the Christians of their diocesy a common Pastoral Letter about the biomédical and the biogenetical challenges. Dealind first with the problems arising from « human life's frontiers », that is to say, as well as it's beginnings as for the end, the consider then the serious problems connected with what we call « genetical engineering ». They invite to make a clear distinction between what is « technically possible » and what is « ethically allowed ». They ar calling to live an humanism, consequent with himself.
